Celtic's Unbeaten Run Continues with Dominant Victories
Motherwell and Dundee Crushed in Successive Matches
Goal-Fest for Celtic in Scottish Premiership
Glasgow giants Celtic have extended their unbeaten run in the Scottish Premiership with two emphatic victories over Motherwell and Dundee. The Hoops cruised past Motherwell 3-1 on February 25th, 2024, and then overwhelmed Dundee 7-1 three days later on February 28th, 2024.
Against Motherwell, Celtic took an early lead through a stunning free-kick from captain Callum McGregor. Motherwell equalized in the second half, but Celtic restored their advantage with goals from Giorgos Giakoumakis and Aaron Mooy.
The match against Dundee was even more one-sided. Celtic scored four times in the first half through Giakoumakis, Daizen Maeda, Kyogo Furuhashi, and Matt O'Riley. Liel Abada added three more goals in the second half to complete the rout.
These victories have solidified Celtic's position at the top of the Scottish Premiership standings. The Hoops now have a 15-point lead over second-placed Rangers and are closing in on a tenth consecutive league title.
