The Minnesota Department of Revenue has announced that income tax rebates will be sent out soon. Checks will be mailed starting in late August and are expected to arrive by the end of September. Eligible individuals will receive $260, while married couples filing jointly will receive $520. Dependents will receive $130 each. To be eligible, you must have filed your 2021 taxes by April 18, 2022, and lived in Minnesota for the entire year.

The rebates are part of a larger tax relief package passed by the Minnesota Legislature earlier this year. The package also includes a reduction in the state income tax rate and an increase in the standard deduction.
