Stewart Optioned to Norfolk Tides on July 22

Baltimore, MD - The Baltimore Orioles have recalled outfielder DJ Stewart from Triple-A Norfolk. Stewart was optioned to Norfolk on July 22nd to make room for the activation of outfielder Ryan McKenna from the injured list. In 22 games with Norfolk, Stewart batted .346 (28-for-81) with eight doubles, two triples, and three home runs. He also had 15 RBIs and an on-base percentage (OBP) of .443. Stewart is expected to be in the starting lineup for the Orioles on Friday night when they host the Toronto Blue Jays. He is likely to play right field and bat seventh in the lineup. The Orioles are currently in last place in the American League East with a record of 54-85.
